Job description

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2304
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient area
• Nurse to patient ratio: Day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, Nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: Any color

This facility is a large inpatient hospital featuring a fast-paced Post Surgical Care Unit that provides comprehensive care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The 40-bed unit supports a high volume of admissions daily and maintains a strong focus on team-based, acuity-driven patient care. The facility operates at a Trauma Level II designation and utilizes Epic EMR as its primary charting system.
