Job description

The Pittsburgh Golf Club is seeking individuals to provide food and beverage service at a historic, premier country club in the heart of Pittsburgh. Food and beverage product knowledge and experience is helpful but not required. Positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential characteristics of the ideal candidate. Due to the nature of our business, we ask that candidates for the position generally be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays. We offer flexible scheduling for part time positions to accommodate academic or other scheduling constraints. Full time positions require open availability. We are currently offering full-time and part-time employment. 

Benefits are available to full-time employees following a company mandatory 90 day probationary period.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience

High school diploma is preferred. Food and beverage/bar experience is an asset. The desire to serve in the Hospitality industry is necessary. Relevant Training Certifications a plus.

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
  • Explain in detail featured menu items 
  • Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
  • Other duties as requested
