Job description

Front of House Manager – Casual Italian Dining & Event Space

Location: Downtown Detroit, Michigan
Position Type: Full-Time


We’re looking for an energetic and hospitality-driven Front of House Manager to join our downtown Detroit casual Italian restaurant and event venue. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys guest interaction, thrives in a fast-paced social atmosphere, and leads by example on the floor.



Our restaurant combines approachable Italian cuisine, lively service, and private events in a fun, team-oriented environment. We’re seeking a manager who loves being visible in the dining room, connecting with guests, and creating memorable experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Lead daily front of house operations including dining room, bar, and event service
  • Engage with guests throughout service by touching tables and ensuring exceptional hospitality
  • Support and motivate servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat atmosphere for both guests and team members
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, and shift management
  • Coordinate with kitchen and event teams to ensure smooth service execution
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and service standards
  • Support private events and special functions as needed


Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality and guest engagement
  • Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-energy environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a hands-on management style
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with event service or banquet operations is a plus
