Urgent Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Paramedic

Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Paramedic to join our team at the Midtown clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys working directly with
patients, supporting medical providers, and performing a variety of hands-on clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Schedule Options
Full-time Mondayโ€“Friday, 2:00 PMโ€“10:00 PM; or
Three 12-hour shifts per week, 10:00 AMโ€“10:00 PM
What You Will Do
As an Urgent Care LPN/Paramedic, you will work alongside medical providers and other clinical team members to deliver convenient, caring, and high-quality patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting medical providers with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, medications, and patient concerns
  • Administering medications, injections, and treatments in accordance with provider direction and applicable scope-of-practice requirements
  • Performing phlebotomy, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and laboratory procedures
  • Conducting EKGs and supporting additional diagnostic testing as directed
  • Providing wound care and assisting with splinting and other minor procedures
  • Preparing examination rooms, medical equipment, and clinical supplies
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and properly stocked patient-care areas
  • Educating patients regarding medications, treatment instructions, and follow-up care
  • Accurately and efficiently documenting patient-care activities in the electronic medical record
  • Following all safety, infection-control, clinical, and regulatory protocols
  • Collaborating with providers and clinic team members to support efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience
Required Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse license, Paramedic license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or Paramedic program
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to administer medications and perform clinical procedures within the LPN scope of practice
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume urgent care environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience using electronic medical records
  • Reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
  • One to two years of experience as an LPN or Paramedic in urgent care, emergency medicine, outpatient care, primary care, family medicine, or occupational health
  • Experience with phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, wound care, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
