Position Summary

We are seeking a part time motivated and skilled Marketing and Social Media Specialist to join our team. The Marketing and Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and executing all marketing, advertising, and digital content initiatives for Plastic Surgery of Tuscaloosa. This role is hands-on and creative, requiring both strategic planning and daily execution. The position plays a critical role in brand growth, patient engagement, lead generation, and visual storytelling across all digital platforms while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and corporate marketing standards.


Key Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for arranging and attending community events to promote practice services.
  • Assist with short-form video content, reels, behind-the-scenes footage, and patient education visuals as appropriate.
  • Create, schedule, and manage social media content and advertisements across platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and other approved channels.
  • Design and write marketing content for promotions, monthly specials, events, and campaigns.
  • Update and maintain practice websites, including landing pages, specials, provider information, and promotional content.
  • Gather and curate daily content from staff, providers, and office operations to reflect authentic brand presence.
  • Coordinate with the corporate office and marketing team regarding SEO strategy, digital advertising standards, brand compliance, and reporting.
  • Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, lead generation) and provide insights to leadership.
  • Ensure all advertising materials comply with HIPAA, patient consent requirements, and corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain professional etiquette and always uphold patient privacy.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of surgical procedures, aesthetic treatments, and med spa services offered by the practice.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, protocols, and branding standards.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in social media management, advertising, or digital marketing.
  • Experience in healthcare, aesthetics, or medical office settings is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital advertising, and content creation.
  • Experience with photography, basic videography, and editing tools preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality in a medical setting.
  • Prior experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, healthcare marketing, or med spa marketing preferred but not required.
