Job description

What we are looking for
The Plant Operations Supervisor will supervise and lead power plant and/or gas processing plant operations. This person will be responsible for the technical performance and reporting requirements of the plant as well as oversee Plant Managers and Plant Operators working in the facility. This position will also perform the duties of a Plant Operator or Manager when required.

  • Supervise, direct, and manage plant operations while ensuring plant efficiency, compliance, and safety.
  • Assist with managing, directing, and organizing operations staff in accordance with project scopes, schedules, budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Assists Operations Manager to achieve revenue growth and profitability for the O&M, consistent with business plans.
  • Works with Plant Managers/Operators, Project Superintendents, and/or other personnel to implement and perform SCS Energy O&M and construction projects giving appropriate consideration to:
    • scope, schedule, productivity, budget, contract, and change orders;
    • subcontracting and material procurement;
    • staffing and oversight of field activities;
    • QA/QC, record keeping, photo records, reporting, data analysis (if applicable), and file maintenance (contract and project);
    • health and safety and safety equipment calibration logs/records; and
    • regulatory agency and client liaison.
  • Responsible for the reporting requirements of assigned plants which includes developing and submitting monthly reporting data.
  • Reviews and approves site production reports, and maintains master maintenance schedule.
  • Responsible for the technical performance of assigned plants.
  • Conduct plant operation and maintenance as needed.
  • Propose and implement corrective solutions when operational deficiencies are identified.
  • Assist with complex troubleshooting and facility repairs.
  • Verify plant maintenance protocols are being followed daily.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted following SCS Health and Safety protocol and all employees have adequate equipment and training to perform their job safely.
  • Trains Plant Managers and Plant Operators in the operation and maintenance of power plants and gas plants.
  • Communicate with clients regarding plant operations and escalate issues as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Eight to 10 years' experience in energy facility O&M and/or construction fields required.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Plant Operation and/or O&M projects.
  • Certifications required or to be obtained:
    • 40 hour HAWOPER,
    • 8 hour Management and Supervisor,
    • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120,
    • Confined Space Entry, and
    • Trench Excavation Safety training.
  • Meet physical requirements for walking inspections of improved and unimproved property.

Pay Range
USD $50.00 - USD $60.00 /Yr.
