What is the hourly rate for PHP developer?

The hourly rate for a PHP developer varies based on experience, location, and project complexity, but typically ranges from $20 to $80 per hour. Weekend PHP developers may charge higher rates due to their availability outside regular hours and specialized skills in PHP, MySQL, and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Weekend PHP Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend PHP Developer, you need strong proficiency in PHP programming, web development fundamentals, and experience with databases like MySQL, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications. Familiarity with frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony, version control systems like Git, and basic front-end technologies is typically required. Proactive communication through tools like Slack or email, and careful documentation of your work, are essential for seamless handovers. Additionally, you may be tasked with bug fixes, implementing new features, or supporting deployments during planned downtime, making flexibility and self-direction important skills.
