LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Redwood City, CA
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary between 6am - 6pm based on coverage needs; Weekend hours may be required as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of approximately 20-30 or more phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices in Redwood City, California area
  • Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
  • Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
  • Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
  • Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals
  • Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
  • Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
  • Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
  • Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
  • Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed
  • Travel to additional sites as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree
  • 3 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in clinical / hospital environment
  • 2 or more years' assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
  • 3 or more years' phlebotomy managerial or supervisory or team leader experience

Additional Job Standards:
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record

As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will lead a team of Phlebotomists and directly impact the Patient/Client experience. You will manage and oversee all aspects of our LabCorp patient service centers and designated client locations. This role emphasizes your ability to lead, inspire, and develop others
QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM Supervisors may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
Pay Range: $75,000 - $94,474 annually
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
