The Liberal Arts division provides transfer ready courses to students in the areas of English, humanities, language, linguistics, communication and philosophy.

Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale

Schedule Information: Day/evenings/weekends depending upon course schedule. The Philosophy Department is looking to hire qualified applicants for the Spring 2026 semester. We will not know exactly what our needs are until we begin staffing classes. We anticipate needing instructors who can come on campus to teach face-to-face classes. We may need someone to teach Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Critical Thinking, or Religions of the World. 

***This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates for the above subjects. As teaching needs arise, these applications will be reviewed for possible interviews***

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months. Education Requirements: The minimum requirement is an M.A. in Philosophy or an MA in a related discipline with 18 semester hours in graduate level philosophy from an accredited institution.  
 

Experience Requirements: Teaching experience is preferred
