The Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI), the only federally recognized bleeding and clotting disorders treatment center of excellence south of Chicago, is actively seeking a full-time (MONDAY - FRIDAY; NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS) Pharmacy Technician to our dynamic, medical care team. ย Under the Pharmacy Director's supervision, BCDI's Pharmacy Technician performs the designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of specialty medications.ย

Salary range: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour, dependent upon experience


BCDI offers a competitive salary and benefit package including:

  • Excellent and affordable medical, dental and vision insurances.
  • Flex Spending Account: BCDI contributes additional funds to HSA & FSA accounts.
  • Dependent Care Assistance.
  • 401(k): BCDI matches 100% on the first 5% of salary invested.
  • 120 PTO hours, 56 sick hours & 11+ paid holidays annually (this includes closing the week between Christmas & New Years Day).
  • Gas Stipend.
  • Monday - Friday workweek.

Requirements

  • ย Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois.ย 
  • Two-plus years pharmacy technician experience preferred. Specialty pharmacy experience a plus.
  • Experience with insurance verifications and prior authorization requests preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Sterile compounding training a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of specialized pharmacy software.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction and with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, energetic and highly motivated.
