Job description

The Clinical Engineer (System Admin) maintains networked systems and databases. Assists with data mining, and analysis of performance metrics and benchmarks. Performs project work, design, modification, fabrication and installation of existing and newly acquired clinical engineering equipment and systems. Provides assistance to clinical areas assuring that such equipment and systems meet established operation and performance standards. Reviews selected safety events to analyze root causes, document events, and communicate corrective actions. This work is performed under minimal supervision and using the tools and techniques of biomedical technology.

Hours: Full time (40 hours), Rotating Shift, Weekend work required
Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore, MD
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related area with coursework in anatomy and physiology preferred. Or 8 years of experience in the Associate Clinical Engineering role with demonstrated competence
  • Requires 3 years related work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical engineering technology, design, operation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by industry standards

Salary Range: Minimum 37.60/hour - Maximum 62.08/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
