About the Opportunity:
Powder Coat Painter - Weekend Shift
Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength as a Painter on our weekend shift and help build high-quality strength and fitness equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role you'll help produce high-quality finished products by preparing, painting, inspecting, and handling components throughout the powder coating process.,
This full-time position offers a base wage of $20.70 to $24.60 (depending on experience) plus overtime eligibility after only 36 hours worked per week.

Shift: Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM-5:30 PM)
What You'll Do
Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare, mask, and stage parts for painting.
  • Operate paint booths, spray equipment, and related controls to apply high-quality powder coat finishes.
  • Inspect parts before and after painting to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Monitor paint quality and make adjustments as needed throughout production.
  • Perform routine cleaning, startup/shutdown, and preventive maintenance on paint line equipment.
  • Safely operate hoists and other material-handling equipment.
  • Report equipment issues, supply needs, and quality concerns to the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support other production activities as needed.

What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will have:
  • Previous electrostatic powder coating paint experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed and work under schedule and time restrictions with limited supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift up to 2 lbs constantly, 35 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs rarely.
  • Push/pull up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead, climb stairs and grasp tools as necessary.
  • Successfully complete a pulmonary function test and wear respirator as required

Your base wage will be between $20.70 - $24.60 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You'll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
