Job Requirements
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
  • Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • NIH Stroke Certification required
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • Strong experience caring for telemetry and stepdown patients preferred
  • Ability to manage patients with multi-system needs and rapidly changing conditions
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and verify strips as required
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with scope of practice and unit standards
  • Care for patients with cardiac telemetry, vascular, and med-surg needs, including post-cath and post-pacemaker cases
  • Manage common stepdown therapies and devices such as PICC lines, chest tubes, PEG tubes, ostomies, Foley catheters, NG tubes, wound vacs, and tube feeding systems
  • Support patients requiring advanced oxygen and airway therapies such as BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, tracheostomy care, and nasal cannula support
  • Collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient-centered care
  • Respond confidently to changing patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Educate patients and families while promoting comfort, safety, and quality outcomes
