Occupational Therapist (OT)
Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for evaluating, planning, and providing occupational therapy services to individuals in accordance with federal and state regulations, professional standards of practice, and licensure requirements. The OT works with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct occupational therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapy staff to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy interventions, adaptive techniques, and safe practices
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve goals
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards, including adherence to Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice requirements
Qualifications:
  • Current and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Minnesota
