Description:
Columbia Technology Partners is seeking an Oracle APEX / PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise web applications built on Oracle technologies. This role is ideal for a developer with strong expertise in Oracle APEX, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL who enjoys building secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and database administrators to deliver robust web solutions, integrate enterprise systems, optimize application performance, and support the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.
  • Develop and support complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and dynamic SQL.
  • Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Customize Oracle APEX components, including Interactive Reports, Interactive Grids, forms, Dynamic Actions, and shared components.
  • Develop client-side functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and Oracle APEX JavaScript APIs.
  • Design and integrate RESTful APIs and web services with Oracle APEX applications and external systems.
  • Optimize application and database performance through efficient SQL development, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement application security using authentication, authorization, access controls, and secure coding practices.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, technical design reviews, testing, deployments, and production support activities.
  • Develop reusable components, establish development standards, and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with significant hands-on experience developing applications using Oracle APEX.
  • Advanced expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database development, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and performance optimization.
  • Strong front-end development experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and Oracle APEX UI customization.
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs, troubleshooting complex applications, implementing secure software development practices, and collaborating within development teams.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with recent Oracle APEX releases, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), and integration of Oracle applications with external enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of JSON, REST services, AJAX processing, relational data modeling, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with Git, source control platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, responsive UI/UX development, and supporting large-scale or mission-critical Oracle APEX environments.
