Job description

Job Title: Oracle DBA EBS
Location: Richmond, VA (Remote Eligible)
Job Type: C2C
About the Role
Join our dynamic IT team as an Oracle DBA EBS, where you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing enterprise Oracle EBS environments across financial modules. You will own the administration of Oracle 12c/19c databases, drive database upgrades and performance tuning, and contribute to cloud migration initiatives. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge database technologies, hands-on projects, and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR modules) for production, development, test, and UAT environments
- Maintain and manage Oracle 12c/19c databases supporting Oracle EBS R12 (12.2.12)
- Perform EBS maintenance tasks: patching (adop cycle, opatch), cloning, upgrades, and performance tuning
- Conduct daily health checks, monitor database performance, and optimize SQL queries
- Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard
- Execute database maintenance, patching, upgrades, and security updates
- Troubleshoot system issues and manage deployments
- Provide after-hours support for critical patching and maintenance
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Manage Oracle APEX applications and job scheduling automation
- Implement Oracle Advanced Security features: TDE encryption, fine-grained auditing, wallet authentication
- Support database migrations and cloud initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Oracle EBS System Administration (GL, AP, AR modules)
- Extensive hands-on expertise in Oracle database and EBS application upgrades, patching, and cloning
- Proficiency in RMAN and Data Guard for disaster recovery and backup strategies
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
