Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team supporting the client. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in patient assessment, IV therapy, and ambulatory care and a proven ability to deliver safe, compliant therapies while optimizing patient flow and education.
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties within RN scope of practice, facility policies, INS standards, and approved protocols.
- Administer ordered therapies per prescriber orders and company procedures, including IV therapies as applicable.
- Complete admission processes and documentation as directed by the Center Director.
- Conduct patient triage to prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
- Obtain and record vital signs and perform initial and targeted physical assessments; refer to NP for comprehensive assessments as needed.
- Document all pertinent data in the medical record and report significant changes to the Center Director, ensuring follow-up on identified issues.
- Evaluate and document patient response to therapy and adjust care per protocols.
- Educate patients and family members on therapy plans, safety, and self-care.
- Verify that all medication orders are complete, accurate, appropriate, and current prior to treatment.
- Support efficient patient flow to reduce wait times and maintain quality and safety standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable state, local, and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ASN or ADN with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Puerto Rico; multi-state licensure required if providing services in multiple states.
- Active professional membership (Colegiación vigente) and valid Health Certificate.
- Law 300 Certificate and Criminal Background Check Certificate.
- Proficiency in patient triage, vital signs, and documentation within EMR systems.
Preferred Skills:
- BSN and 1–2 years of related ambulatory or infusion experience.
- Previous management or charge experience.
- Experience with IV therapy and adherence to INS standards.
Work Schedule & Setting:
- Patient-facing, field role with in-person care 4–5 days per week.
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. start to 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. end. No weekends.
- Training in San Juan clinic; primary work in Bayamón clinic. May work in care centers, assisted living, clinics, or member homes with access to medication.
