Job description

Are you an experienced optician who loves combining technical expertise with great patient care?

Family Eyecare Center, a respected and modern optometry practice in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Lead Optician to oversee our optical department and help deliver exceptional experiences for our patients.

As our Lead Optician, youโ€™ll manage daily optical operations โ€” from frame styling and lens consultation to team leadership, vendor coordination, and quality control. Youโ€™ll work closely with our doctors and staff to ensure every patient leaves with eyewear that looks and feels amazing.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

- Lead, train, and inspire the optical team

- Assist patients with frame selection, lens technology, and fittings

- Oversee ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships

- Maintain quality standards and meet optical performance goals

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

- 5+ years of optical experience, including leadership or supervisory experience

- NC Dispensing Optician License preferred (or eligibility)

- Strong communication skills and a passion for patient care

- Attention to detail and a love for eyewear styling
