Want four full days off every single week without sacrificing a full 40-hour paycheck? This rare weekend schedule offers the ultimate work-life balance for a skilled CNC Machinist. Our client is a high-growth, technically sophisticated component manufacturer specializing in high-complexity, tight-tolerance production runs for aerospace, defense, and medical pipelines. Operating in a bright, fully air-conditioned shop floor completely free of old-school job shop clutter, the leadership team values technical autonomy, provides clear skills-based advancement tracks, and rejects micromanagement.

What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)

  • Tooling & Offset Management: Manage tool page offsets, adjust fixtures, and change cutting inserts to maintain tight tolerances across complex production runs.
  • Precision Quality Inspection: Utilize micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and specialized measuring instruments to verify 100% quality compliance before parts advance.
  • Process Optimization: Investigate, troubleshoot, and correct mechanical or program-related deviations to maintain steady weekend workflow and cycle times.
  • Blueprint & GD&T Application: Interpret complex engineering drawings and apply rigorous GD&T benchmarks to ensure total part integrity.
  • Cell Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cell following strict 5S standards across the weekend production run.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
  • Machining & Setup Depth: 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience, with at least 1 year executing independent setups on CNC lathes or mills.
  • Technical Literacy: 2+ years of strong blueprint reading literacy, G&M code familiarity, and practical GD&T application.
  • Precision Measuring Capability: Proven capability utilizing precision hand measuring tools and custom gauges to verify close-tolerance part features.
  • Weekend Schedule Commitment: Full, reliable commitment to working the permanent Friday–Sunday 12-hour day schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
  • Location & Compliance: US Citizen or Green Card holder residing within a comfortable daily driving radius of Big Bend, WI.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
  • Tight-Tolerance Sectors: Prior experience machining precision components for aerospace, defense, military, or medical device applications.
  • Multi-Axis Capabilities: Hands-on setup experience with 4/5-axis CNC mills or multi-spindle, live-tooling CNC turning centers.
  • Technical Education: Technical diploma, CNC certificate, or completed machining apprenticeship.
