Job description

Overview
The Snowmaking Controller is responsible for monitoring our pump and compressor systems to ensure smoother operation as well as update system changes in our ISNO program. The Controller will also be acting as a dispatcher and keeping notes on all snowmaking related activities on the mountain. They will also, when needed, be expected to assist with snowmaking outside. Typical start date is early October through late December possibly early January, depending on temps and progress. At times this can be a physically demanding job in which the ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs and carry up to 40lbs. Must be able to work all scheduled shift through the holidays. Must be able to endure all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible starting up, monitoring and shutting down all pumps and compressors
  • Responsible for keeping our ISNO program notes up to date
  • Communicate changes, update, and requests to the appropriate teams and managers.
  • Conduct visual inspections and routine maintenance of pumps and compressors
  • Set up and break down of snowmaking equipment when needed
  • Operate trucks, snowmobiles, and or snow cats in a safe and efficient manner
  • Will be required to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Will be required to work weekends and holidays
  • Work as part of a team to complete tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license or able to obtain one
  • Must be in good physical condition
