Position Summary:

The Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care.

Hours / Schedule: PRN-RN On Call; Weekends only

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (or international equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent acute care experience in an institutionalsettingrequired.

  • One (1) year of home careand/orHospiceexperiencepreferred.
    Current RN license valid in the assigned state(s).

  • Current CPRcertificationisrequired.

  • Valid driver's license with a reliable, insured vehicle,ifrequiredforoperational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing carein accordance withthe State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, and review of medical history.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.

  • Administer medications and treatmentsas prescribedbyphysicians.

  • Monitor and document patient status, including changes in condition, pain, and response to treatments.

  • Provide patient and familyeducationregardingdiseasemanagement, medications, and self-care techniques.

  • Assistpatients withactivities of daily livingto promote comfort and independence.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.

  • Ensure patient safetyandmaintainatherapeutic and supportive environment.

  • Participate in daily rounds, interdisciplinary team meetings, and patient care conferences.

  • Engage in quality improvement initiativesandmaintaincompliancewith regulatory standards.

  • Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentationin the electronic health record.

  • Attend continuing education, in-services, and trainingtomaintainclinicalcompetency.

  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
