Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Nuclear Imaging
Location: Tacoma, WA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts (x4) (no weekends or holidays)
Compensation: $43.00 - $63.03 per hour (depending on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 for qualified external candidates

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Imaging, you will play a critical role in supporting patients throughout their cardiac diagnostic journey. Working alongside providers and imaging specialists, you will support stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress testing, IV management, patient education, and clinical triage.

This role blends hands-on nursing care, clinical decision-making, and patient education in a structured outpatient setting. You'll help ensure safe, efficient diagnostic testing while providing compassionate care to patients navigating cardiovascular concerns.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with strong cardiac, ICU, PCU, ED, or diagnostic imaging backgrounds who enjoy autonomy, teamwork, and specialty care.

  • Support and administer stress echocardiograms and nuclear stress tests
  • Start and manage IVs and administer medications during procedures as needed
  • Monitor patient safety and readiness during cardiac imaging procedures
  • Triage abnormal test results and coordinate patient follow-up
Patient Education & Communication
  • Educate patients on testing procedures and care expectations
  • Provide compassionate support throughout the diagnostic process
  • Communicate effectively with providers and multidisciplinary team members
Documentation & Quality
  • Document all care and communication in the electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with providers and imaging staff to support quality patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy implementation efforts
What You'll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Washington State RN license
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  • Active ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in cardiology, ICU, PCU, or Emergency Department settings
  • 2+ years of experience in hospital or outpatient clinical environments
  • Familiarity with EKG rhythm interpretation and cardiac stress testing protocols
  • Strong critical thinking skills and comfort working independently
