Admissions Registered Nurse (RN)

Trustbridge Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients and families throughout Broward County. This role offers a consistent weekend-only scheduleโ€”every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00am to 9:30pm, making it an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking a three-day workweek, workโ€“life balance during the week, or an alternative to traditional weekday schedules.

Since 1978, Trustbridge Hospice has been honored to serve families across Palm Beach and Broward counties with compassionate, community-based care. Formed from the legacy of Hospice by the Sea and Hospice of Palm Beach County, we continue to provide comfort, dignity, and peace to those facing advanced illness.

What You'll Do

As an Admissions Nurse, you will play a vital role as both a clinical expert and a trusted guide for patients, families, and healthcare partners:

  • Serve as the primary nurse responsible for evaluating patients referred for hospice services
  • Educate patients and families on hospice care and clearly communicate all components of our continuum of care
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and liaisons to coordinate individualized, hospiceโ€‘appropriate plans of care
  • Act as a key liaison between Trustbridge Hospice and hospitals, physicians, longโ€‘term care facilities, and other healthcare professionals
  • Promote and advocate for the hospice philosophy through education and relationshipโ€‘building within the healthcare community

What You'll Need

  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Minimum of one year in public health, home nursing care, oncology nursing, medical/surgical nursing, geriatric nursing or Hospice nursing preferred.
  • Understanding of and ability to apply characteristics of Hospice Nursing, case management, crisis intervention, communication skills, teaching skills, thanatology skills and needs
  • Basic computer skills and EMR software experience a plus.
  • Adequate and reliable means of transportation with adequate insurance and valid Florida driver's license.
