CompleteRx is seeking a weekend part-time Pharmacy Technician to provide exceptional patient care at South Shore Hospital; a 170-bed acute care hospital in South Chicago, IL.

Looking for a part-time opportunity to expand your pharmacy career? This weekend-only position is ideal for Pharmacy Technicians seeking greater flexibility during the week or valuable hospital pharmacy experience. You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow in an acute care setting.

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
  • 2nd Shift Differential: $1.65 per hour

Schedule:

  • Every Saturday and Sunday
  • 2nd shift: 12pm - 8pm

What You Will Do

  • Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
  • Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
  • Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
  • Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
  • Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
  • Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
  • Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
  • Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.

What You Will Need

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of employment/practice if required.
  • Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification if required in the State of employment/practice. Where not required, it is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
