Outpatient Registrar Position Summary
This position is responsible for obtaining demographic, clinical and financial information from patients being admitted as inpatients to the medical center or presenting for outpatient diagnostic tests or procedures; follows Medical Center policies and procedures to ensure that complete and accurate information is available to support both patient and financial records; interacts in a professional and customer-focused manner with patients, families and visitors.
Outpatient Registrar Position Requirements
Education
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Advanced courses in computer, office or public relations preferred.

Experience
  • One to two years' business office experience.
  • Computer experience and keyboarding (typing) required.
  • Experience in healthcare billing, collection, or registration preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Requires four months on-the-job training.
