WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Participate in the regular cleaning of AIA facilities to support housekeeping operations and stay aware of daily needs.
  • Coordinate with the Retreat Center Director and members of the SCRC to assess and meet housekeeping needs across all AIA spaces.
  • Lead, motivate, and support housekeeping associates through recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and developing team members.
  • Foster a positive, mission-aligned team culture and ensure staff are well-equipped to perform their work with excellence.
  • Ensure common areas remain clean, orderly, and presentable throughout the day.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies, toiletries, and linens to maintain fully stocked guest and staff spaces.
  • Order, pick up, and manage inventory of paper goods and cleaning supplies.
  • Observe and report safety hazards, facility concerns, or repair needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee housekeeping associates in accordance with ministry policies and applicable laws, including:
  • Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding team members
  • Planning, assigning, and directing daily work
  • Providing performance feedback and conducting evaluations
  • Coaching, recognizing, and when needed, disciplining employees
  • Addressing concerns and guiding effective problem resolution
