THIS POSITION IS FOR WEEKENDS ONLY!! SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS DAY SHIFT AND NOC SHIFT AVAILABLE.



Summary:

Direct Care Staff is responsible for performing essential care for our members in our group homes and DTA under the direction of the Group Home Manager as well as the Program Coordinator. This is a safety sensitive position

Essential functions: 

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

  1. Responsible for Residents which includes:
  • Provide for the safety, emotional and physical needs of all residents
  • Ensure residents are clean, well-groomed and dressed age appropriately and correctly for the season and environmental conditions 
  • Ensure PCSP outcomes and data is implemented and documented according to the resident's PCSP every day
  • Help residents cook meals and to eat as needed
  • Ensure daily that residents are being emotionally and physically stimulated to the best of their ability 
  • Assist with showering residents as needed to ensure a complete shower is given
  • Assist with resident laundry to ensure laundry is clean
  • Passing medications in group homes safely
  1.  Driving which includes:
  • Drives vehicles following the driving policies and ensures that is compliant with insurance requirements
  • Complete the Vehicle check list daily
  • Daily maintenance checks of the vehicles (i.e. checking turn signals, cleanliness, fuel, etc.)
  • Responsible for keeping signed documents (Med Appointment Forms) and returning to Home Coordinator upon completion of appointment
  • Escort and drive residents to appointments and activities as scheduled.
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Report any changes to your driving record immediately
  1. Responsible for the Home which includes:
  • Cleaning the home, including but not limited to all areas and resident bedrooms 
  • Ensure that all required documentation including but not limited to incident reports, PCSP goals, DSP daily duties etc. are completed before the end of shift. 
  • Must perform duties following safety standards required for this position including but not limited to use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's i.e. gloves)
  • Must attend all training sessions required by the company including but not limited to house meetings.
  1. Responsibility to the Company which includes:
  • Being flexible in hours worked and location worked in order to assist with staff coverage if needed
  • Ensuring that you maintain compliance in regard to 
  1. Article 9
  2. Prevention and Support
  3. Fingerprint Clearance Card
  4. CPR & 1st Aid
  5. Driver's License is current and in good standing
  • Adhere to and follow all directives and policy and procedures handed down by the Company
  • Ensure that all required documentation including but not limited to ISP outcomes, Incident Reports, DSP daily duties etc. are completed before the end of shift.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
  • High School or Equivalent
  • Must have a clean driving record and be approved 
  • Flexible hours to work times as well as work locations to assist with staff coverage if needed
  • Reliable transportation to work at any location
  • Must have or be capable of passing and maintaining Article 9 and Prevention and Support within 90 days of hire
  • Must provide 39 month motor vehicle department (MVD) driving record by time of offer
  • Must have or be capable of passing and maintaining CPR / 1st Aid within 30 days of hire
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Job Requirements: For HR use only

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to maintain a class 1 fingerprint clearance card. 
  • Must abide by company policies and procedures
  • Employees must be able to verbally communicate in English, i.e. be able to understand what is being said to him/her in English. Must be able to use the English language so that what he/she is saying to another person can be understood, in all emergency situations so that the safety of patients/clients, other employees and other individuals who are in our facilities conducting is not jeopardized. All employees must be able to read and comprehend English.
