Job description

An oncology medical center is seeking a Radiology Oncologist in Bergen County, New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive radiation oncology care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, with light weekend call
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Setting: In-person, medical center

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized radiation oncology treatment plans
  • Perform therapeutic simulation, isodose distribution, treatment delivery, and ongoing management
  • Provide follow-up care after treatment completion
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cancer care team to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in program development, process improvement, and communication with referring physicians

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Radiation Oncology
  • Ability to participate in tumor board meetings on Fridays at 7:30 AM
  • Commitment to evidence-based, team-oriented patient care

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in radiation oncology treatment planning and delivery
  • Familiarity with HDR, CT, Clinac 2300, SRS, and SBRT
  • Experience working with oncology support teams, including nursing, physics, dosimetry, social work, and rehabilitation services
  • Interest in program growth and quality improvement initiatives
