Oncology Med/Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Nights - 12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Options for 36 or 48 hours per week are available, with 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Flexibility is required according to facility needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Med/Tele Registered Nurse to provide quality care in a dynamic environment. This unit specializes in treating patients with Osteomyelitis, chemotherapy-related issues, SBO, Sepsis, and TRAM surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement personalized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options and care practices.
  • Support patients during chemotherapy and other therapies.
  • Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient status.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute Med-Surg/Tele and oncology.
  • 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
  • Active New York RN license.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Chemotherapy certification.
