Job description

Sideworx Connect offers positions for both employees and independent contractors. We specialize in placing short-term and seasonal employees, allowing you control over your schedule and a chance to explore a multitude of projects.

We're seeking skilled Water Transfer Technicians to join our roster. As a Water Transfer Technician, you'll play a crucial role in distributing water from source to site, ensuring its safe and efficient delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment operations pumps, crew truck, filtration units, equipment trailers
  • Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure that equipment is in good working order
  • Rig in and rig out water transfer/lease operations
  • Abide by all standard operating procedures and rules/regulations provided by the client

Please ensure you meet all the below criteria before applying for this position. All applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of water transfer experience
  • 5+ years in a related oil field industry with transferable skills
  • Meets or exceeds tool & truck requirements listed below
  • Proof of 5 million liability insurance
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License, with the ability to provide a clean drivers abstract at time of hire
  • Current certification in First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO (TDG & WHMIS provided)
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pumps and flow dynamics
  • Ability to work both independently and with others to support a safe work environment
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Mandatory Tools Required:

  • 4x4 truck 1-ton diesel preferred with Slip Tank & Transfer Pump/Hose
  • Hitch Receiver
  • Impact Driver (Battery Powered) with Sockets & Allen Key Drivers
  • Sledgehammer
  • Truck Radio

Working Conditions:

  • Travel is required and certain jobs may be eligible for Living Out Allowance
  • Outdoor environment, including extreme weather conditions and exposure to high-pressure lines, noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals
  • Physically demanding with heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (including night, weekends, holidays, and overtime)
