Network Engineer
Location: Blythewood, SC
Interview Process: Two Rounds. Candidate needs to be prepared to go onsite for one or both interviews.
Duration: 12+ Months
Employment Type: Contract (C2C / W2)
Experience Required: 12+ Years
Work Requirement: Candidates must reside in SC, NC, or GA and be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC before the start date (at own expense)
Work Hours: 37.5 hours/week + potential on-call (after hours/weekends)
Travel: Required to field offices during work hours
Additional Requirement: Valid driver's license required
Project Scope:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support a statewide enterprise network infrastructure and serve as a key technical resource within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
This role involves managing complex network environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and security compliance, and providing advanced troubleshooting and support with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Administration & Support
- Configure,install, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure components
- Manage andsupport routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Maintainnetwork documentation, including diagrams and configurations
- Provideday-to-day operational support for enterprise network systems
Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization
- Diagnose andresolve complex network issues and outages
- Monitornetwork performance and ensure optimal connectivity
- Perform rootcause analysis and implement corrective actions
Security & Compliance
- Implementand maintain network security best practices
- Ensuresystems are compliant with security standards and policies
- Supportfirewall configurations and threat detection tools
Network Design & Implementation
- Supportnetwork architecture design, configuration, and enhancements
- Work onrouting, switching, and voice-integrated network environments
- Assist withupgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work closelywith cross-functional technical teams
