CMM Inspector 3
Full-Time
Location: Arlington, WA
Pay Range: $29.00 – $37.50/hour


Overview

A leading aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CMM Inspector 3 to support quality assurance operations. This role is responsible for inspecting complex machined and sheet metal components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. The position also provides guidance and mentorship to junior inspectors.


Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications

  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for dimensional inspection

  • Create and edit CMM programs (online and offline)

  • Analyze and interpret CMM data against engineering models and drawings

  • Perform manual inspections using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, profilometers, etc.)

  • Approve or reject products based on inspection results and document findings accurately

  • Conduct Rockwell hardness and Eddy Current testing

  • Apply statistical sampling techniques during inspections

  • Review certifications for outside processing (NDT, chemical processing, finishes)

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards

  • Audit shop floor inspection processes and ensure compliance

  • Maintain accurate records in MRP systems

  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

  • Train and mentor junior inspectors

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of CMM inspection experience in a regulated industry

  • 3–5 years of recent aerospace inspection experience

  • Proficiency with CAD systems such as CATIA and AutoCAD

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Technical training in CMM, blueprint reading, or GD&T


Work Schedule
  • Weekday Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

  • Weekend Shifts:

    • Friday–Sunday, 4:30 AM – 5:00 PM
