Food Runner - On Call (Breakfast, Lunch, or Evening Shifts)

Position Summary: Our Food Runner/Busser ensures prompt and polite service to our members and guests. Serves as the liaison between the kitchen and servers. Carries food trays to appropriate tables and serves food to guests. Responsible for preparing service stations, clearing and resetting tables, removing all trays from the dining/banquet rooms and cleaning and closing service stations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and club policies.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to members and guests.
  • Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Set up, serve, and clean dining or banquet areas; perform opening and closing side work.
  • Deliver food and beverages, pour and refill drinks, and clear dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas and follow food safety standards.
  • Report guest complaints immediately to supervisor.
  • Assist with event breakdown and room resets.
  • Adherence to schedules and attends scheduled meetings and pre-shift sessions.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by your supervisor and management and work collaboratively with the team.

Required Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Kitchen serving and/or Fine dining experience (preferred).
  • TB test and Gray liquor card.

Work Schedule:
This role requires flexibility and availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and extended hours as necessary to meet operational demands and ensure exceptional member and guest experiences. Work hours are driven by business needs rather than a fixed schedule.
  • Morning shift 6 am to 10:30 am.
  • Lunch shift 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Evening shift starts at 3:30pm.

Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to carry trays of food.
  • Standing on feet for up to 8 hours.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
