Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2520
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg/Tele
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts available for both day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Holiday requirement of 2 out of 3 holidays
• Opportunity and potential to be placed on call or standby
• Must be able to float to like units and patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 at 11:00 PM; team nursing with LPNs at 2:7 ratios
• 24-bed inpatient unit with capacity for up to 10 observation and day surgery patients
• Common diagnoses include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgical cases including orthopedic (hips and knees), cholecystectomies, appendectomies, and TURPS-CBI
• Must be comfortable with IV starts as there is no IV team on site
• Basic telemetry arrhythmia knowledge required with physical monitor at nurses' desk; strips reviewed in ICU daily
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 with CPAP equipment; RT oversees entire hospital
• Hospitalist on site until 6:00 PM daily, then telemed utilized
• Charge nurse carries an assignment; travelers may be placed as relief charge
• Nurse aides available on the unit
• Titration of drips is not required
• Scheduling allows for self-scheduling with longer blocks of 6 shifts when able, though block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Scrub color/dress code: solid professional colors, no specific color requirement
• Orientation includes computer education on day 1 (8 hours education, 4 hours shadowing), day 2 is a full 12-hour orientation shift, and day 3 the clinician is on their own
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry (Acute Care) experience required
• Experience with TURPS-CBI preferred
• Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• BSN not required
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
