Job Description

Must have current working experience with first level troubleshooting for all monitored devices within a GNOC, update tickets within the ticketing system, update monitoring tools with new devices, maps, changes and removals and follow processes to escalate issues to ensure SLA's related to monitoring routers, switches, data circuits, servers and environmental devices.

This is a customer facing position, excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required, must be process oriented for escalations and notifications for management and the candidate will need to work with applications & applications support teams for CRM, SharePoint, Exchange, Citrix, & Web based apps for outages and service delays and work closely with service providers globally for degraded or circuit outages.

Tools that are used within the NOC:

  • Primary Tool UIM i.e. (NimSoft)
  • Application Tools
  • ASM, Thousand Eyes
  • Riverbeds Web Analytics

General knowledge and experience with; Windows 2003 / 2008 and UNIX based servers, starting services, IIS Resets, server reboots, Cisco routers and switches is a plus.
