Job description

A financial company is hiring a Senior / Lead Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer on a contract to hire basis in Charlotte, NC.
As the Senior-Level NOC Engineer (Team Lead) you'll function as one of the highest technical escalation points within the global Network Operations Center. This role provides advanced troubleshooting, architecture-level insight, and deep subject matter expertise across complex, multi-vendor network infrastructures. As a tier 3 engineer you'll lead root cause analysis, oversee major incidents, influence network design standards and partner with other engineering teams to drive stability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Contract Duration: 6 month, contract to hire
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of enterprise network operations or engineering experience supporting large-scale environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VRFs, MPLS fundamentals, L2/L3 architectures, and WAN technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, Palo Alto, Aruba, and F5 ecosystems.
  • Ability to lead major incidents under pressure with clear communication and technical command.
  • Cisco CCNP certification required
