Job description

Job Title: NDT Technician

Shift: 2nd shift

Starting Pay: $25 an hour

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the NDT Technician will work to make Xray equipment and programs more robust thus increasing throughput.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop new programs (testing required for automatic production).
  • Transfer programs to other MUs for asset utilization (testing required for automatic production).
  • MU Program Maintenance
  • Image and equipment verification.
  • Teach segments to reduce immediate review occurrences.
  • X-ray robotic position alignment.
  • Program Archival and Retrieval
  • ADR program backups.
  • Robot program backups.
  • Stage MU's for use from archive.
  • Observe and practice all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities.
  • Provide NDT support during overlap hours.
  • Data input, reporting and auditing.
  • Present options and ideas to enhance current processes or procedures.
  • Repair and maintain X-ray equipment.
  • MU PM and 5S Activities
  • Part pallet details.
  • Robot end of arm tool.
  • System Cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Academic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a certified X- Ray Reader.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Must pass the Near Vision - Jaeger Type 2 at 12 inches (30.5 cm) or greater (Appendix J) and Color Vision (must demonstrate normal color perception on all 15 Ishihara plates).
