Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified HVAC Technician with extensive experience in Marine, Industrial, and Residential HVAC systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems aboard U.S. Navy, MSC, and Commercial vessels.

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipefitting, and electrical/mechanical layouts for HVAC systems.
  • Install, retrofit, and repair marine air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including commercial chillers and HVAC control systems.
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to complete projects accurately and efficiently.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute work assignments with minimal supervision based on instructions from supervisors and job specifications.
  • Document all work performed by completing required job paperwork and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including NAVSEA Standard Items, NFPA, EPA regulations, and Navy specifications.
  • Follow all applicable safety and environmental protocols during all phases of work.
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC and refrigeration systems and perform root cause analysis to resolve system failures.
