  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
  • Provide compassionate music therapy services in accordance with hospice care plans to promote comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and overall quality of life for patients and families
  • Educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions, responding to emotional and comfort needs with professionalism, empathy, and flexibility throughout the end-of-life journey
  • Work independently but never alone
  • Travel to patient homes within assigned territory

Music Therapist Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
  • Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U. S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
  • State music therapy licensing where required
  • At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care
  • At least six (6) months of work /education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care
  • Current driver's license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations
