Job description

Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way.
The Recreation Coordinator at Southall is rewarding and challenging. The role requires split duties in collaboration with the Activities team as well as Reservations and Guest Services. Each day will involve coordinating, planning, and executing youth-focused programs and delivering anticipatory service for families and local guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the Assistant Manager of Outfitters and the Director of Activities to coordinate and execute youth activities and childcare services for locals and guests on property.
  • Function as the planning coordinator for family and youth programming at Southall.
  • Maintain an understanding of VIP guest interested in programming while on the property.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplies for programming; purchase additional supplies as necessary.
  • Coordinate schedules for childcare services and staffing for evergreen and evening activities
  • Act as a tour guide on the activities team for all family-themed activities.
  • Assist with guest transportation and backfill activities staffing as necessary
  • Work with all VIP's in a concierge role in planning activities with SES during family says, confirm reservations an address issues.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Prior experience in youth-themed programming (hours/experience specifics to be discussed).
  • Experience with family and young adult programming
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to speak in front of groups of 10 or more people.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Ability to operate and work outdoors in extreme hot and cold environments.
  • Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday each week.
  • Guest facing duties, greet guests politely.
  • Strong background in youth-themed programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay focused and work efficiently without supervision.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and a solution-oriented attitude.
