Job description

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2484
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with options for day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1-2 holidays expected per contract
• 6-week schedule cycle with schedule provided 1-2 weeks prior to start
• Cannot work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year of CVICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if minimum experience requirements are met
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for regular ICU status, 1:3 for mixed status
• Care for cardiac patients including immediate post-op CABG, TAVR/TMVR, valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, and pacemakers
• Care for thoracic surgery patients including post-op esophagectomy, pneumonectomy, and lobectomy
• Care for vascular patients including post-op AAA, TVAR, and carotid endarterectomy
• Must be competent in invasive line monitoring including Swan Ganz and a-lines, pacemakers, chest tubes, cardiac medications, ventilator/trach management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• RN draws from invasive lines only; peripheral sticks not permitted
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, and VAD preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN preferred
• Equipment used includes EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and GE monitors
• Floating may be required to ED Holding, other ICUs (MRICU, SICU, CICU, Neuro ICU), MSU, Sitter, or PACU Surge
• Scrubs must be any solid color, professional with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available with shuttle service during day shifts and attached parking structure for night shifts
Facility:
This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Magnet Designated hospital with 933 beds, offering comprehensive cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical services. The facility holds a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation and houses a Level III NICU, reflecting its commitment to high-acuity patient care. The CVICU unit consists of 30 beds and is supported around the clock by a dedicated CVICU Intensivist, CT Surgeon on call, Hospitalist, General Intensivist, ICU-designated Respiratory Therapist, HUC, and charge nurses to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
