Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a teaching hospital setting requiring ARRT-R certification and a minimum of 1 year of MRI experience.

Details
  • Acute care teaching hospital with Level 4 trauma designation and 149 staffed beds
  • MRI department with a daily caseload of 12 patients per tech in 1 room
  • Evening shift, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Occasional weekend coverage as needed per department needs
  • On-call required every Wednesday 11:00 PM-6:30 AM and every 3rd weekend
  • Will float between two Mercy campuses (Coon Rapids and Unity) as needed
  • Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
  • Works with 1.5 Siemens Avanto MRI scanner
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in MRI required
  • ARRT-R and BLS certifications required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience required in Outpatient, Inpatient, ER, Community Hospital, and Adult ICU settings
  • IV start skills required
  • Experience with 1.5 Siemens Avanto scanner required
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience required
Additional Information
  • Dark gray scrub color required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates accepted for this radiology position
  • Ideally no more than 5 days of requested RTO during the assignment
  • Returning employees must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as staff or per diem
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
