The Review Operations team - a group within Snap's Platform Integrity and Operations organization - focuses on moderating publicly facing content on Snapchat. It's our job to keep each Snapchatter's experience safe, whether that is engaging with a Snap on Spotlight, a creator on Discover or an advertisement served between friends Stories. Our team assesses broadly distributed content against our Recommendation Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Product-specific policies. Together, with our Product and Engineering counterparts, our Moderation team reinforces our Recommendation Guidelines across content types, every day. This team empowers Snapchatters to have safe, relevant and engaging experiences with content on Snapchat.

What you'll do: Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Review content submissions to ensure they abide by our recommendation guidelines, community guidelines, and other product based requirements
  • Drive quality management activities and conduct regular quality audits
  • Use data and analytical tools/skills to identify and help drive solutions for new issues, trends and drive decision-making and management reporting
  • Drive the development of policy guidance, tool/product updates, escalations pathways, operations improvement and quality control
  • Project manage key moderation and product initiatives with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Serve as a consultative partner with vendor team on policy, quality and operational matters
  • Advise Snap teams on current and trending content while taking into account the cultural and regional nuances

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Great judgment and ability to problem-solve, both independently and with peers
  • Experience with policy enforcement with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent data analytics skills to drive problem-solving, decision-making and reporting
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversight
  • Passion for Snapchat, content, and online safety

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base hourly range for this position is $28.84-$43.26 hourly.


Zone B:

The base hourly range for this position is $27.4-$41.34 hourly.

Zone C:

The base hourly range for this position is $24.51-$37.01 hourly.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
