In this leadership role, you are an internal technical master at the line level who ensures the line team is performing at a level that sustains and improves business results on one or more of 6 stars model. You model priority setting, manage the plan-do-check- adjust cycle and provide coaching and training for your team.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in helping us change how the world snacks. You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets, understanding losses in your area and taking the appropriate action to eliminate them. You will use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development. In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed [e.g. safety maps, lock out tag out (LOTO) , behavior observation system (BOS) and root-cause analysis (RCA)], that quality assurance activities are performed to ensure zero harm and 100 percent good-quality products, and that resources are properly allocated and available during the shift. You will take the lead for shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.

  • Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems
  • Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment
  • Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 5-6, and PM step 3
  • Leading line teams
  • Handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully
  • Influencing people in a union environment
  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing and good attention to detail

The Shift Leaderis responsible for supervising all operational activities during a designated shift, ensuring that production lines meet their SQDCM targets. Acting as the on-shift point of control, the Shift Leader coordinates across teams-including production, maintenance, and quality-while ensuring that all line activities are executed to plan and according to standard work. This role ensures smooth transitions between shifts and provides immediate decision-making support in dynamic production conditions.
Key accountabilities /Responsibilities
  • Prevent incidents by ensure 'zero safety incidents' mentality and culture in his line(s)/area
  • Enforce safety rules and ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Promote 5S practices and standard visual management on the line
  • Prevent incidents by ensure 'zero quality incidents' mentality and culture in his line(s)/area
  • Monitor adherence to quality standards and take immediate action on non-conformances
  • Ensure all quality checks, documentation, and traceability protocols are completed correctly
  • Ensure volumes are produced in time in full against production plan
  • Input and validate shift performance data in ERP, MES, or production dashboards
  • React promptly to line stoppages, quality issues, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Improve cost over time through systemic Loss Elimination, Identify and eliminate losses
  • Building and growing High Performing Teams in his line(s)/area
  • Coach and develop the Line teams
  • Team back up and succession planning
  • Own the execution of all SWP in the line at the designated shift
  • Priority Setting through Daily Management System and effective escalation of issues

Education / Certifications:

  • 5+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of production line operations, quality checks, and safety requirements

  • Flexibility required to work any shift.

Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $86,900 to $119,515; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
