This is a hybrid position based in Manhattan.

At this time, we are only considering candidates from the tri-state (NY, NJ, or CT) due to business and operational requirements.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Business Systems Analyst reports to the Business Systems Manager within the Information Systems team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a primary focus on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. The selected candidate will collaborate with internal departments to assess business needs, design scalable 

applications and workflow solutions and improve operational efficiency through process automation and sound solution design. This position will also support the development of reusable standards and patterns across similar business processes and leverage AI capabilities within the Power Platform ecosystem to improve delivery efficiency and reduce manual effort.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, build, and support business applications and workflow solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess business processes and translate requirements into effective technical
  • Design Dataverse tables, relationships, and supporting solution structures to enable scalable, maintainable, and reusable applications and workflows.
  • Develop workflow solutions for approvals, reviews, routing, notifications, and other structured business processes.
  • Build solutions that support process visibility, lifecycle tracking, and consistent handling of routing, status, and revision scenarios.
  • Troubleshoot, enhance, and support existing Power Platform solutions as business needs evolve.
  • Establish and apply reusable development standards, naming conventions, and design patterns to improve consistency and long-term supportability.
  • Leverage AI capabilities within Power Platform, where appropriate, to accelerate development, improve solution efficiency, and reduce manual effort.

KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Demonstrates the ability to design practical, maintainable solutions that align with business needs and platform best practices.
  • Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, refine workflows, and improve solution performance.
  • Builds effective working relationships with stakeholders and translates technical concepts into clear, business-friendly guidance.
  • Produces organized, well-structured solutions and documentation that support
  • Works effectively with a high degree of independence while maintaining responsiveness, professionalism, and sound judgment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and 
  • supporting business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
    Experience building workflow-driven business solutions in a low-code environment and 
  • translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable applications and automations.
    Strong experience with Dataverse, including data modeling, solution structure, and reusable Power Platform design patterns.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with AI Builder, Copilot Studio, or other AI capabilities within Power Platform that can accelerate development and improve solution delivery.
  • Experience with Power BI, reporting solutions, or related analytics tools that support operational reporting and decision-making.
  • Competency in SharePoint, SQL, and other Microsoft 365 technologies that commonly integrate with Power Platform solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
