A Weekend Merchandiser is responsible for stocking, organizing, and maintaining product displays in retail stores, typically on weekends. They ensure shelves are properly stocked, promotional materials are in place, and products are visually appealing to customers. This role often requires travel between store locations, physical work such as lifting and stocking, and communication with store managers or vendors. Strong attention to detail and time management skills are essential for success in this position.
As a Weekend Merchandiser, your main responsibilities include setting up and maintaining product displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring merchandise is presented according to store guidelines or planograms. You may also assist with inventory counts, price changes, and promotional setups. This role is vital during weekends, when customer traffic is often highest, helping stores maximize sales and maintain a pleasant shopping environment. Responsibilities:
Build & maintain a professional relationship with store management & personnel
Replenish stock & organize displays according to merchandising guidelines set forth by client & store specifications
Engage & assist customers
Attend all training seminars
Develop creative ways to merchandise/sell the client's products
Communicate effectively with MCG management
Requirements:
Merchandising experience is a must; retail apparel experience preferred.
Must adhere to all dress code & store sign in policies
Ability to read & follow detailed directives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer, high-speed internet access, printer, & email
Digital photo capabilities
Same day reporting & photo submission via our online reporting system
Some weekday flexibility. Occasional evening & weekend work may also be required
