Job Title: Production Labor

Job Description

This role involves using molds and presses to produce both initial and regular production parts efficiently and with minimal supervision. The position requires working on manufacturing assignments according to written procedures, where recognizing deviations from standard practices is essential. The ability to work well within a team environment is crucial.

Weekend Shift :Friday/Saturday/Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor calendering equipment to produce materials to exact specifications.
  • Ensure material quality, consistency, and safety, while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Monitor material flow for uniformity and defect-free production.
  • Inspect materials using precision instruments like calipers and micrometers.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and roll changes.
  • Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, and material specifications.
  • Document production data, including thickness readings, lot numbers, and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors and production supervisors to resolve material issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate press machine to create parts using molds.
  • Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals.
  • Measure stock for correct thickness and length.
  • Weigh stock and salvage scrap.
  • Monitor production for defects for early detection.
  • Use equipment and tools like calipers and scales regularly.
  • Ensure material handling and recordkeeping comply with company and ISO standards.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area throughout the shift.
