Job description

Bargaining Unit: EA

Rate of Pay: $29.17/hour + D0E

Summary
Delivers supplies and equipment to offsite locations. Provides mail and courier pickup/delivery services throughout Tahoe Forest Hospital District, using hospital-provided vehicle. Performs duties and maintains records in relation to the receiving, distribution, and control of hospital supplies. Ensures adherence to accepted procedures to protect the integrity of all supplies and materials while assuring proper documentation. Utilizes computer to perform daily functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receives, inspects, verifies, and accepts supplies, equipment and materials to be delivered throughout the District; processes all associated paperwork and documentation.
  • Provides pick-up, transport and delivery of a wide range of items including medical records, laboratory specimens, X-Rays , confidential documents, department supplies, equipment, mail and cash receipts to and from various departments across campus in a timely manner.
  • Verifies sorts and organizes items to be delivered.
  • Delivers items accurately to identified sites.
  • Maintains the integrity of transported items.
  • Follows safe driving skills, traffic laws, ordinances and rules involved in motor vehicle operation.
  • Independently maintains and coordinates time-critical operating schedule and maintains appropriate logs and records.
  • Provides and/or arranges for appropriate maintenance of the vehicle as outlined by the manufacturer in
  • Conjunction with the department. Keep vehicle clean.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate transportation logs, vehicle fuel consumption logs, and other data as required.
  • Performs various routine administrative and operation functions as assigned.
  • Assists Central Supply staff as time permits.
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
