Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives, inspects, verifies, and accepts supplies, equipment and materials to be delivered throughout the District; processes all associated paperwork and documentation.
- Provides pick-up, transport and delivery of a wide range of items including medical records, laboratory specimens, X-Rays , confidential documents, department supplies, equipment, mail and cash receipts to and from various departments across campus in a timely manner.
- Verifies sorts and organizes items to be delivered.
- Delivers items accurately to identified sites.
- Maintains the integrity of transported items.
- Follows safe driving skills, traffic laws, ordinances and rules involved in motor vehicle operation.
- Independently maintains and coordinates time-critical operating schedule and maintains appropriate logs and records.
- Provides and/or arranges for appropriate maintenance of the vehicle as outlined by the manufacturer in
- Conjunction with the department. Keep vehicle clean.
- Prepares and maintains accurate transportation logs, vehicle fuel consumption logs, and other data as required.
- Performs various routine administrative and operation functions as assigned.
- Assists Central Supply staff as time permits.
- Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
- Complies with System policies and procedures.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
