Job Description:
The Team Leader, Radiology Billing Claims Management is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm at Inland Imaging Business Center in Spokane. May have the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after training.
Summary: This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Claims Management Team by planning, organizing, and directing the activities of employees and effectively utilizing all resources in the delivery of Inland Imaging billing services.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Supervises multiple Insurance Specialists.
  • Coordinates workflow for billing staff members.
  • Communicates all areas of concern with Manager in addition to recommending workflow changes needed to make sure daily tasks are complete.
  • Helps to establish, monitor, and ensure production standards for the department.
  • Monitors production/performance of billers, handles disciplinary actions, and provides feedback to RAD billing manager for annual evaluations.
  • Maintains tracking process for ongoing issues to be addressed at monthly staff meetings.
  • Anticipates changes in activity levels and adjusting staff and other resources to meet productivity standards.
  • Facilitates training of all new employees.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with manager to discuss departmental activities /issues.
  • Troubleshoots employee and claim issues/concerns on a timely basis and escalates unresolved issues to appropriate level.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff, management, and patients.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled team meetings to share information, identify and resolve problems and receives feedback.
  • Develops and implements department operating policies and procedures.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned.

  • Follows company departmental standards and personnel policies by using good teamwork and communication skills to help identify concerns and solutions, assisting where needed to ensure a smooth functioning department.
  • Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting, and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.
  • Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.
  • Attendance is required for this position.
  • Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging and its partners depending on work location.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • There is a high level of supervisory responsibility in this position.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED Required.
    • Two-year medical billing course or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience: at least 1-year supervisory level experience preferred; working in a medical office for at least 3 years preferred
    • Strong knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.
    • CPT and ICD-10 coding experience preferred
    • Word processing skills of 55+ WPM required
    • Knowledge of CMS & Regional MACs regulations
    • Understanding of procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; MS Office applications, Excel, Access, and Medinformatics.
